Media Requests

Santa Anita Park welcomes all media with the goal of fostering a professional working environment that accommodates the delivery of accurate and timely information for legitimate media organizations. Santa Anita Park’s overarching responsibility will always be to ensure the safety of the equine and human athletes, as well as those who are in attendance for the event(s). We look forward to welcoming you to our venue and working together on a successful experience!

Media credential requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be requested from the editor, producer or corresponding supervisor of the following:

  • Global, National and Local news outlet including print publications, television networks, recognized media sites (based, in part, by reach/audience size) and wire services.
  • Recognized independent reporters/bloggers/media members who cover Thoroughbred racing on a consistent basis for credentialed media sites.

Freelance writers, bloggers and/or photographers will not be granted media credentials without a letter of support submitted by an accredited media organization. Requests must be made in writing or email at least two (2) days in advance of wanting access.

Credential decisions are subject to the discretion of Santa Anita Park.

Please note that the owners, trainers, and jockeys are not employees of Santa Anita Park. Our Media Relations team will work with you to schedule all interviews, however, the participants have the right to decline your requests.

Please contact a member of the Santa Anita Park Media Relations team if you have any additional questions.
